Spondylosis is degenerative osteoarthritis of the joints between the spinal vertebrae and/or neural foraminae. Spondylosis narrows the spinal canal of the neck or back. This is the passageway that the spinal cord runs through.Spondylosis can cause neck, mid-back and low back pain. Sometimes it could be more serious when narrowing of the spinal canal causes compression of the spinal nerves causing pain and in many cases dysfunction. The symptoms may reflect spinal cord or nerve root damage including pain, numbness, tingling or weakness.
