Epidural Steroid Injections for Neck Pain

An epidural steroid injection is performed to help reduce the inflammation and pain associated with nerve root compression. Causes of nerve root irritation include a herniated disc, spinal stenosis, and bone spurs. An irritated nerve can lead to pain, numbness, tingling or weakness along the course of the nerve. This is called radiculopathy. The goal of the epidural steroid injection is to help lessen the inflammation of the nerve root. Call the Precision Pain Medicine – Pain Center NY for an evaluation if you are a candidate for this treatment.

Epidural Steroid Injection (ESI) in the Cervical Spine

This injection treats the pain of an inflamed nerve in your cervical spine. It relieves nerve swelling. If you have a herniated disc, spinal stenosis or some other problem that’s pressing on a nerve, it may help you.

I have been having a neck pain for a very long time. Dr. Baruch examined me, got an MRI of my neck, and did an epidural injection… my neck felt great after the treatment. The office staff, the office atmosphere, and Dr. Baruch are great – best pain doctor.
